Enjoy Russian school students April activities in Petrozavodsk!

Enjoy Russian language school students go on exploring Petrozavodsk and participating in initiative centre active life. This week they all were extremely busy with lessons, drama classes and learning more about Russian lifestyle.

John Dawton have participated in language camp for Russian kids. “I am so proud of the kids! This is a great effort by them! The song is ready!” – John said. They spent a whole week together, creating song contest (one of the song was written by John) and mix culture activities.

Besides own lessons and kids camp John is ruling a Drama club. With the help of Russian volunteers and activists he produces his own play “Haakon”. That is a story of Viking life. Last week the first repetition was held.

Last week John went to local theater and enjoyed The Barber of Seville, an opera buffa in two acts by Gioachino Rossini. The building itself impressed John as well.

Meanwhile spring has come to Petrozavodsk. Our students enjoy walking through city streets (alone and with volunteers). “I am living near the magic lake” – our students Sarah has written. Though the Onego Lake is still covered with ice, the spring is in the air)
