There is a direct train from St. Petersburg to Petrozavodsk. It costs from 700 rub. to 1,800 rub. That depends on a type of carriage. It will take you about 7 hours to get our city from the cultural capital of Russia.  This train departs from the railway station Ladodgskiy Vokzal in St. Petersburg. You can buy tickets at the railway station or book tickets by Internet. The train departs from St. Petersburg at 2.30 a.m.

You can choose a coach to get Petrozavodsk from St. Peterburg. It costs more expensive than getting Petrozavodsk by train. The charge is about 880 rub. But it will be more convenient for you to get Petrozavodsk by train. It is more comfortable, cheaper and faster. But the time of buses’ departure will suit you, because the buses depart every day at 8.30 a.m., at 01.00 p.m. and at 10.00 p.m.  It will take you about 8.30 hour to get Petrozavodsk by bus.

…FINLAND
From Helsinki you can go to St. Petersburg by train or by plane. There is the train “allegro” departure from Helsinki at 6.12 a.m., at 10.00 a.m., at 03.00 p.m. and at 07.00 p.m.  every day.  It costs 84 euros for the second class and 134 euros for the first class. It will take you about 4 hour to get St. Petersburg by train “allegro”/ It is a new comfortable train from Helsinki to St. Petersburg.  This train departs from the railway stations  Finliyandskiy Vokzal and Central Railway Station.

There are two flights to Helsinki to St. Peterburg. You can choose between flight at 10.15 a.m. and flight at 05.55 p.m. It will take you about 1 hour and 10 minutes to get St. Petersburg. It costs minimum 11,034 rub.

…BESOVETS
We recommend you to take a taxi from airport of Besovets to Petrozavodsk. It costs about 300 rub. and it is convenient for tourists.
