This week
our dear students continue working with their Russian! They are making good progress!
As for their free time it is also very
efficient! Guys have visited Opera,
Organ Concert, now they are getting
ready for the volunteering project – meeting in a café with Russians who are interested in
learning foreign languages! Such meetings are usually very interesting
and useful for both sides. It is a usual practice that our foreign guests
participate in the volunteer activities for Russian children and adolescents,
aimed to explore the European countries, languages, cross-cultural differences
in the continuous social project "Language Club." Moreover participation in volunteer projects
it is a successful way to learn Russian.
Tomorrow Russians celebrate Defender
of the Fatherland Day. The
holiday marks the date in 1918 during the Russian
Civil War when the first mass
draft into the Red Army occurred in Petrograd and Moscow.
It was originally known as Red
Army Day. In 1949, it was
renamed Soviet Army and Navy Day. Following the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991, the holiday was given its
current name.
Officially,
as the name suggests, the holiday is
celebrated by people who are serving or were serving the Russian Armed Forces (both men and women), but
unofficially, nationally it has also more recently come to include the
celebration of men as a whole, and to act as a counterpart of International Women's Day on March 8
Russian Language
School Enjoy Russian congratulate all men in Russia and all over the world and
warmly invite all to join us in Spring
