Have you heard of Maslenitsa, Russian folk holiday?

Every year in Petrozavodsk we welcome the spring by celebrating Maslenitsa: outdoor festivals, various amusements, pancakes and burning of the scarecrow.

This year Maslenitsa will take place on February 20-26.
