She successfully combines learning Russian in Petrozavodsk and discovering new places all over Karelia (the Republic in the Russian North-West). A few days ago Eleanor and a group of students came to the most outstanding sight - Kizhi museum which is located in 50-min water-ride from Petrozavodsk. 

“I’m eternally grateful to the school for organizing the whole thing for me, which meant that I got a tour of the island with a group of Russians, led by the very lovely Evgeniya.” What are the secrets of traditional nineteenth-century constructions?
