There was ENGLISH STREET in Petrozavodsk! Could you guess which one?! 
A number of British engineers were invited to Karelia by Russian government in order to improve production quality and update technologies of the factories .
The street where British engineers lived was named English street. It was renamed only in 1854.
Present-day name of English street is ... Karla Marksa prospect.
